Overall Battery Life is suspect

CAUSE

SOLUTION

Blown F1 fuse

Replace defective 3A fuse.

on Power supply

Low/Empty Indicator

Connect a DC power supply to the unit in place of the battery.

failure

Slowly decrease the voltage of the power supply from 14.0
volts until the “Battery Low” indicator is shown. The voltage
should be 11.8 +/- .1 volts. The “Battery Empty” indicator
will appear at 11.2 +/- .1 volts. Replace main board or
rework circuit as required.

Use/Charging Style

If the unit is not connected to AC the required time throughout
the day compared to the time in use, the battery may
prematurely fail due to inadequate charging. Replace battery
and change charging circuit as described in procedure

Power Source

Verify appropriate AC power from plug, to cord, to fuses,
to transformer, to power supply.
