Introduction
1.1
Purpose of This Manual
This manual is intended as a guide for technically qualified personnel, and provides limited service and repair
information for the COLIN Press-Mate
Model 8800 Series blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate, and
SpO2 measuring and monitoring devices
and all integrated components thereof. As a prerequisite to using
this document while servicing or repairing this equipment, technical personnel should have a comprehensive
understanding of the unit’s operation, as well as the information contained in this service manual.

How To Use This Manual
The information contained in this service manual is divided into sections, as identified in the Table of Contents.
Each section and its contents are numbered and divided by tabs and labels to help the reader locate specific
references. Page numbers are sequential as per each section.
1.3
General Information
Model 8800
The Press-Mate Model 8800 Monitor is a stand-alone, non-invasive electronic device that measures blood
pressure and pulse rate and digitally displays the measurement values. This portable adult, pediatric and neonatal
blood pressure monitor is designed to measure, non-invasively and automatically, systolic, mean and diastolic
blood pressures and pulse rate. Desired values can be measured on demand, or the unit can be programmed to
automatically monitor and record all data, except temperature, either continuously or at selected intervals. An
alarm function is incorporated, which can be set with high and low limits. The memory storage capacity of the
press-Mate is 400 lines of data, more than any other non-invasive blood pressure (NIBP) stand-alone monitor.
The monitor is available with or without a built-in printer. Monitors with built-in printers can print all stored
patient data on command.

Monitor is a portable adult, pediatric and neonatal blood pressure monitor
designed to measure, non-invasively and automatically, systolic, mean and diastolic blood pressure, pulse rate and
temperature via an electronic predictive thermometry. Predictive thermometry measurements are made with the
Sherwood FILAC
®
F2000 electronic thermometer. This monitor is available with or without a built-in printer.
Model 8800MS
The Press-Mate
Model 8800MS
Monitor is a portable adult and pediatric blood pressure monitor designed to
measure, non-invasively and automatically, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, pulse rate and temperature via
tympanic thermometry. Tympanic thermometry measurements are made with the FirstTemp
®
Genius
®
thermometer. The Genius is integrated with the Press-Mate to allow the data transmission of the temperature
values. These values are then displayed on the Temp LEDs of the Press-Mate, as well as placed in the
Press-Mate’s memory. The monitor is available with or without a built-in printer.
