4.11 Printer Function
Models 8800P, 8800GP, 8800FP, 8800SATP
With the “PRINT” switch on the rear panel in the “ON” position, the monitor will automatically print after each
blood pressure measurement. If you prefer, you may cancel this feature by setting the printer select switch on
the rear panel to “OFF”. An alarm violation will automatically printout an oscillometric profile even if the print
switch is in the "OFF" position.
The printout format can be changed by selecting Graphic Trend (See Figure 4.1), Line List (See Figure 4.2), or
Oscillometric Profile (See Figure 4.3) from the selections of the "Print Mode" switch on the rear panel.
Model 8800MSP
With the “PRINT” switch on the rear panel in the “ON” position, the monitor will automatically print after each
blood pressure measurement or any alarm violation. If you prefer, you may cancel the automatic production of a
print-out by setting the printer select switch on the rear panel to “OFF”.
Note:
This oscillation profile assists the clinician in determining the validity of the measurement that
caused the alarm. An erratic or flat profile suggests that excessive motion or other artifact may have
affected the measurement. A profile shaped like a bell curve represents a measurement not affected by
motion or other artifact.
Figure 4.1 shows a trend as well as a digital printout of measurements.
The marking represents, from left to right, the diastolic, mean, and systolic blood pressure values.
Figure 4.2 shows an example of a line listing printout, an error code printout, and/or an oscillometric profile (see
note below on this unique Press-Mate feature). The # in the right column indicates motion artifact while the "A"
or "N" indicates either Adult/Pediatric Mode or Neonate Mode.
Figure 4.3 shows an example of an oscillometric profile printout on each measurement.
