Alarm BP
Press the switch to select the Alarm BP feature. If "ON" is selected, the monitor will automatically
take a second blood pressure measurement upon an alarm limit violation to aid in verifying an alarm condition. If
"OFF" is selected, no automatic blood pressure measurement will be taken upon an alarm limit violation.
After completing the setup procedures, turn off the front panel power switch and turn it on again. This will
complete the time, initial inflation, and alarm settings.

4.10 Hemodynamic Mode
The Hemodynamic (HD) Mode allows the Press-Mate to automate the sequence of timed measurement
intervals. The HD Mode allows the user to select from five interval programs. The first three programs are
factory-set and the remaining two programs are user-adjustable. All of the programs once initiated can have the
interval selection adjusted as needed during that time period. This allows the Press-Mate to be customized to
meet any requirements needed.
To place the Press-Mate into the Hemodynamic mode, follow these instructions:
1. Open the Battery Cover on the back of the Press Mate.
2. Remove the battery from the compartment with the use of the battery removal ribbon (you will not need to
disconnect the battery from the wires at this time).
3. Locate through the upper right hand corner of the battery compartment the set of eight dip switches.
4. Move number eight dip switch into the up or ON position.
5. Return the battery and cover.
6. Turn the Press-Mate ON, the monitor will automatically enter the Hemodynamic mode.
Note
: If the monitor asks for a Pass Word, contact COLIN's Technical Service Dept. at 800-829 NIBP for
further instructions. The Pass Word is initially input at COLIN during manufacturing, and should not be
asked for again unless the internal RAM (service menu test interval 5) has been completed.
To remove the Press-Mate from the Hemodynamic mode, the number eight dip switch will need to be
returned to down or OFF position.
Note:
The Hemodynamic Mode cannot be used until it is activated. To activate, please refer to the
Press-Mate Product Service Manual, Revision B. While the Press-Mate has the Hemodynamic Mode
activated, the Smart Clock feature is deactivated.
