Chapter 3 Repairs
Chapter 3. Repairs
This chapter explains in detail the corrective maintenance operations permitted by CHOPIN on the Mixolab 2
(some of them are more particularly referred to in chapter
2 "Trouble-shooting" ).
Spare parts and subassemblies must be selected in the reference lists in chapter 4 "Spare parts" .
1. Introduction
1.1 Warnings
Power must only be restored when the instrument's hood has
been put back on and all internal parts have been put back together.
Note : An exception is made for certain checks (measuring supply
voltage in particular), provided all proper safety precautions are
taken.
In particular:

Carry out all repairs in a clean and dry place equipped with a full
range of standard tools, in addition to any special tools mentioned,
❏
These repairs should be carried out with care by skilled and duly
qualified personnel (see list below),
❏
Only carry out the repairs specified in this manual, to the exclu-
sion of any others,
❏
Only use original parts and subassemblies as specified in the list
of spare parts in chapter 4 ,
❏
Follow each procedure right to the end (in particular the specified
tests and checks), and make a careful record of the repair (opera-
tion, etc.).
1.2 List of operations
The table below lists all the corrective maintenance operations for
which a detailed description is provided.
Moreover, for each operation it specifies:

The particular consumables to use,
❏
The special tools required,
❏
The minimum skills required.
The mains power supply must be
disconnected and the
power cord
unplugged when doing any work
requiring the Mixolab's hood to be
removed.
To avoid any risk of damage or faulty
operation,
carefully observe the
instructions in this manual.
