Mixolab 2
Chapter 3 Repairs
Before opening the Mixolab, you must switch it off and discon-
nect its power supply.
1. Remove the Mixolab's left and right-hand covers (see op. 1-1)
and central cover (see op. 1-2) .
2. Disconnect the corresponding heating circuit connector on the
CPU board
(A) .
3. On the connector's pins, measure the resistance of each of the
heating circuit's
resistors with the ohmmeter.
Note: It is easier to measure the bowl heating resistors from the
green terminal block near the bowl, see (B) .
• A value of around 260
:
is normal,
• A value significantly higher than 260
:
or an open circuit indi-
cates that the resistor is cut off.
4. On the connector's pins (or green terminal block), measure the
resistance of each of the heating circuit's
thermostat with the
ohmmeter:
• A resistance of practically nil is normal,
• An infinite resistance indicates that the safety thermostat is
probably damaged.
5. Check the insulation of each connecting point (resistors and
thermostat) in relation to the ground:
• An infinite resistance (> 5M
:
) is normal,
• A nil or very low resistance indicates that the part is damaged
(ground leak).
6. Reconnect the connectors to the CPU board.
7. Check with a voltmeter that the resistors' supply voltages are
correct when heating is actuated:
• 230V for the tank resistors and the bowl's resistors 2 and 3.
• 130V for the bowl's resistors 1 and 4.
8. Replace the Mixolab's left and right-hand covers (see op. 1-1)
and central cover (see op. 1-2) .
