Engine Coolant Temperature

Light (If equipped)

This light tells you that the engine

coolant has overheated.
If you have been driving under

normal operating conditions, pull

over and stop the vehicle as soon

as it is safe to do so.

Allow the engine to idle for a few

minutes.
If the light stays on, turn the

engine off.
Have the vehicle serviced as soon

as possible.
See Sections 4 and 5 for more

information on your vehicle’s cool-

ing system.

Brake System Warning Light

This light should come on when

the ignition is on but the engine is

not running, as a check to show

you it is working properly.
If the light comes on while you

are driving, pull over and stop

carefully.
If the light stays on, have the vehi-

cle towed for service. The brake

system should be inspected right

away.

Driving with the brake warning

Have the brakes checked imme-

diately if the brake warning

light stays on.

This light also comes on when you

set your parking brake while the

ignition is on.
The light stays on until the ignition

is turned off or the parking brake is

fully released.
Make sure the parking brake is

fully released before driving the

vehicle.

NOTICE

Driving with the parking brake

on can cause the brake system

to overheat and may result in

premature wear or damage to

brake system components.

Always check that the parking

brake is fully released before

you begin to drive.

If the warning light stays on after

the parking brake is fully released,

it means you may have a brake

problem.
Check the brake fluid level.

CAUTION

Do not drive the vehicle if the

brake warning light does not

come on when the parking

brake is engaged and the igni-

tion is on.

If the light does not come on when

the ignition is turned on and the

parking brake is engaged, you may
