CAUTION

If there is too much brake fluid,

it can spill on the engine. The

fluid will burn if the engine is

hot enough. You or others

could be burned, and your

vehicle could be damaged. Add

brake fluid only when work is

done on the brake hydraulic

system.

Adding Brake Fluid

To add brake fluid:

1. Wipe the cap and the top of

the reservoir clean.

CAUTION

To prevent contamination of

the brake fluid, make sure the

brake reservoir and cap are

thoroughly clean before remov-

ing the cap. Contaminated fluid

can affect performance and

lead to costly repairs.

2. Remove the cap.
3. Add enough fluid to bring the

level up to the proper mark.
The level should be between

the

MIN

and

MAX

marks.

Windshield Washer Fluid

CAUTION

Driving without washer fluid

can be dangerous. Check the

fluid level often to be sure you

are prepared to clear the wind-

shield of any obstructions.

Use only commercially available

ready-to-use washer fluid.
When it’s very cold outside, only

fill the tank 3/4 full with fluid to

allow for expansion.
If air temperature is likely to go

below freezing, use windshield

washer fluid which has sufficient

anti-freezing property.

NOTICE

• Don't put water in the wind-

shield washer reservoir. It

could freeze and damage

washer system components.

• Don't mix washer fluid with

water - especially hard water.

Small particles in the water

can clog the system.

• Don't use radiator antifreeze

for your windshield washer. It

can damage your washer sys-

tem and paint.
