CD/MP3 Player

Normal size discs can be loaded 

into the compact disc player. 

However small, 8 cm discs can 

only be played with specially 

designed adaptors.
If playing a CD-R, the sound quali-

ty may be reduced due to CD-R 

quality, the method of recording, 

the quality of the music that has 

been recorded, or the way the CD-

R has been handled. You may 

experience an increase in skipping, 

difficulty in finding tracks and/or 

difficulty in loading and ejecting.
Do not use scratched or damaged 

discs.
If these problems occur, check the 

bottom of the CD for damage or 

try a known good CD.
Do not apply labels to discs. The 

labels may get caught in the 

player.

If a description label is needed, try 

labeling the top of the disc using a 

marking pen.

If an error message ever appears 

on the display, see "Error Messag-

es" later in this section.

NOTICE

Do not apply labels to discs. 

The labels may get caught in 

the player.
Insert only one disc at a time.
Do not use scratched or 

damaged discs.
Keep other items, liquids and 

debris away from the loading 

slot.

Loading a Disc

Discs can be loaded with the radio 

or the ignition on or off.
Insert a disc part-way into the slot, 

label side up. The player will pull it 

in the rest of the way.
When a disc is inserted, 

CDP

 will 

appear on the display.
As the disc loads, 

FILECHECK

 (file-

check) will appear on the display.
A track number will appear on the 

display when each track starts to 

play.

Play/Pause

Press 

CD/AUX

 

 to pause 

playback.

PAUSE

 will flash on the display.

Press the button again to resume 

normal play.
Note:

This feature is disabled when an 

auxiliary device is connected to 

the sound system.
