REAR CARGO AREA
CAUTION
It can be very dangerous to
drive with the hatch open.
Carbon monoxide (CO) gas can
come into your vehicle. You
cannot see or smell CO. It can
cause unconsciousness and
even death.
If you must drive with it open,
make sure all other windows are
closed and turn the fan on to
the highest speed using any
setting that brings in outside
air. Doing this will force outside
air into the vehicle.
Rear Hatch
CAUTION
Before opening or closing the
hatch, make sure that its path is
clear of people or any other
obstructions.
CAUTION
Do not operate the vehicle with
the rear hatch open.
An open hatch would obstruct
your rear view.
Operating your vehicle with an
obstructed rear view can lead to
a collision resulting in damage
to your vehicle or other proper-
ty, personal injury, or even
death.
From the outside, use your key to
unlock the rear hatch.
To close the rear hatch, push it
down until it latches securely.
The hatch automatically locks
when closed.

Rear Hatch Release (If equipped)
CAUTION
Do not operate the rear hatch
release while the vehicle is
moving.
With this option you can open the
hatch from inside your vehicle.
Pull up the release lever located
near the front corner of the driver's
seat.
Convenience Net
(If equipped)
The optional net, which should be
installed in the rear area, is
designed to prevent small things,
such as grocery bags, from falling
over during sharp turns or quick
stops and starts.
Attach the upper loops (located at
the upper corners of the net) to
the anchors on the back panel of
the rear cargo area.
NOTICE
The convenience net is
designed to hold smaller items.
Do not carry heavy objects in
the convenience net.
