Warning: Noxious and irritating dust particles!
Working on the insulating rings can cause emission of noxious dust particles. Always
observe the "Technical Rules for Hazardous Materials" TRGS 521 (valid for Germany)
for work on the insulating rings.
Maintenance work may only be carried out by specialized, authorized and trained
workers.
Block off the working area during maintenance work and make sure unauthorized
persons have no access to the working area. Mount an external exhaust system above
the working area.
Wear safety gloves when working on the insulating rings.
Always wear an FFP2 filter mask when working on the insulating rings! We recommend
wearing an FFP3 filter mask as protection against high dust concentration.
Wear protective clothing when working on the insulating rings.
3. Check the insulation for excessive heat leaks. Check the insulating rings at both
ends of the process tube for breakage, cracks and correct position and repair or
replace as necessary. Defective insulating rings must be replaced in good time to
prevent the temperature profile within the process tube from becoming
inhomogeneous which causes scattering within the process results.
10.9.3
Checking the Vertical Lift Axes (Built up to 05/2003)
In systems built in 05/2003 and before, the vertical axes of the lift must be maintained
monthly.
In systems built in 06/2003 and later, the vertical axes of the lift must only be
maintained every six months.
CAUTION!
Use only Metaflux Biolub paste for lubricating the subassemblies.
If you use other lubricants, the components will become gummy. This will impair the
operation of the subassembly.
Both axes can be separated from the drive and can be moved manually. To do this,
move the lift to its lowest position and support it, then open the drive clutch.
If necessary, both axes can be separated from one another and can be moved
individually. To do this, support both sides of the lift, then remove the toothed belt, the
grip, the cantilever shafts and the joining bar of the cantilevers.
Pay attention to the correct position during reassembly!
