7. When the process tube has cooled down, slowly increase the process temperature

to standby temperature. During this period, elevate the N2 flow for the process
tube via the menu sequence Manual – Gas – N2 – Quantity – 10slm to dry the
condensate line.

8. Open the POCL

Monthly Procedures

10.9.1

Checking the Pneumatic Functions

1. Check the function of the pressure control valves.

2. Check the gaskets for leakage and wear.

3. Check the cylinder collars for wear.

4. Check the reed contact positions at the tube closure.

5. Check the air hoses for damages and fold cracks or abrasions.

10.9.2

Checking the Process Tube

WARNING - Noxious or irritating gases!

The process tube can contain noxious or irritating gases. Purge the process tube with
sufficient inert gas before opening.

CAUTION - Hot Surfaces!

The process tube is very hot. Do not touch hot parts.

Always wear heat protecting gloves.

1. Carry out a pressure test for the tubes with the closed-tube tube-closure (option) in

standby operation, see chapter 9.11.1 Pressure Test for Closed Tube Systems,
page 9-69.

2. Carry out a leakage test for the vacuum process tubes (option), see chapter

9.11.2 Leakage Test for Vacuum Systems, page 9-69.
