Adjusting the Loading Machine Coupling  

 

The clutch is at the back of the loading machine's mounting plate. 

 

1.  Open the tube door. 

2.  Use the CESAR control computer to move the paddle to the 20 mm position, refer 

to the CESAR control computer manual listed in chapter 12.3 Information on the 
Control System, page 12-2. 

3.  Remove the casing of the clutch. Now the stud screw is visible. 

4. Loosen 

the 

clutch. 

5.  Loosen the stud screw. 

6.  Move the upper clutch disk upwards. 

7.  Moisten clean room paper with isopropanol and put it into the space between the 

clutch disks. Press the clutch disks together. Repeat the procedure 2-3 times. 

8.  Put unused clean room paper between the clutch disks. 

9.  Close the clutch. 

10.  Firmly press the upper clutch disk. 

11.  Firmly tighten the stud screw. Do not move the clean room paper as you tighten 

the screw.  

12.  Loosen the clutch. Remove the clean room paper and close the clutch. 

13.  Check that the clutch does not slip. 

14.  Replace the casing. 

15.  Use the CESAR control computer to move the paddle to the 0 mm position, refer to 

the CESAR control computer manual listed in chapter 12.3 Information on the 
Control System, page 12-2.
