Firefighting 

There is danger of explosion, burning, corrosion and poisoning! 

Etching, toxic, and jet-flame forming gases can develop in the event of a fire. Use 
safety clothing and a respirator before starting to extinguish the fire. 

In the event of a gas fire, disconnect the gas supply before starting to extinguish the 
fire, because an explosion hazard exists due to the possible effluence of flammable 
gas after extinguishing the fire. 

If the cable insulation is destroyed, electrocution hazard exists in the entire system! 
Switch off and disconnect power from the system and secure the main power switch 
against accidental switch-on, before starting to extinguish the fire. 

Using CO

2

 fire extinguishers in small and badly ventilated rooms may pose 

asphyxiation hazards! Therefore, provide sufficient ventilation. 

Extinguish the source of the fire from below, the main source at first, then possible 
further sources. 

When fighting fire observe all legal and company regulations. 

Use only suitable fire extinguishers for extinguishing fire at live electrical components. 
Keep a safety distance of 1 m at least!
