9.3.2.3 Incorrect Loading Machine Positioning
1. Check if there is mechanical resistance.
2. Check if the toothed belt wheel is correctly mounted on the axle of the reference
potentiometer. Tighten screw to reduce play.
3. Check if toothed belt is loose and the teeth longer have proper grip. tension the
tooth belt .
4. Check if loading machine has hit the limit switch. If so, realign limit switch or
process boat path.
9.3.2.4 Inoperative Limit Switch at the Loading Machine
1. Check if the cable is connected to the limit switches.
2. Check if the cables of the Berghof motor controller at the loading machine are
correctly connected.
3. Check the limit switch. Replace the limit switch if damaged.
9.3.2.5 Loading Machine Operation in One Direction Only
Check the limit switch at the loading machine. Replace the limit switch if damaged.
9.3.2.6 Inoperative Lift Up Motor of the Soft Landing System (SLS)
1. Use the CESAR control computer to check the entries, refer to the CESAR control
computer manual listed in chapter 12.3 Information on the Control System,
page 12-2.
2. Check if someone pressed the handling stop pushbutton. If so, eliminate cause of
handling stop and enable pushbutton.
3. Check if loading machine has hit the limit switch. If so, realign limit switch or
process boat path.
4. Check the limit switch and the limit switch connections.
5. Check if the Berghof motor controller at the loading machine is energized.
6. The process boat was previously lowered at a different place. Move process boat
to maximum position. The process boat automatically stops at the correct position.
Repeat lifting at this position.
