Cleaning Vacuum Tubing, Cold and Particle Trap (Option) 

 

 

WARNING - Noxious or irritating dust particles and/or gases! 

The vacuum tubing and the cold and particle trap can contain noxious or irritating dust 
particles and/or gases.  

 

Always wear safety gloves during preventive maintenance work. 

 

 

Always wear a respirator during preventive maintenance work. 

 

CAUTION! 

The filter unit of the cold and particle trap must be periodically cleaned, because the 
vacuum pumps' service live can be considerably reduced by particle introduction.  

 

The following diffusion thicknesses between the cold and particle trap cleaning 
processes are permissible:

The large range of values is a result of the applied amounts of gas. 

1.  Clean the cold and particle trap. 

2.  Check the vacuum tubing for contamination during every other cold and particle 

trap cleaning. If necessary, clean and lubricate the vacuum tubing.
