Check out the existing wireless LAN
environment.
As a general guide to determine that there will be no
interference, it can be assumed that interference will be
minimal at a signal strength of -70 dBm or below. Select
the settings and check for any effects of communication.

channels when set to HT40?

Using HT40, select interference-free channels.

Is any existing system being used with
HT40?
Use HT20 to select the channels of HT20 in the
existing system. If there is a multiple number of
candidates, measure the communication time of each,
and decide on the channels.
Use HT40 to select the same channels as HT40 in the
existing system, and check out the communication speed.
Use HT20 to select the channels of HT20 in the existing
system, and check out the communication speed.
Select settings which yield a stable communication speed.
