11.6 Calculations and Tables
11.6.1 Introduction
Purpose of the Calculator
The dialog "Calculations and tables", shortly called "Calculation", is a means
for performing calculations and for looking for values in tables that are fre‐
quently needed, especially in the creation of part programs (thread table, fit
sizes). It is a modal dialog exclusively available in the IndraWorks Operation of
the IndraMotion MTX.
We do not accept any warranty for the correctness of the table val‐
ues.
Within this dialog, there is a calculator for general calculations and different
calculation forms are provided for frequently recurring geometric and techno‐
logical calculations.
Depending on the calling dialog, the calculator disposes of a possibility to di‐
rectly insert the result in the entry field last focused. Apart from that, the result
can be directly used at any place by inserting the content of the clipboard.
Setup
The calculator is only available in IndraWorks Operation if it has been set up.
Shortcut Showing the calculator by a shortcut is the most frequent way to call a calcu‐
lator. Particularly in dialogs - if they are prepared for that purpose - shortcuts
are the only way for calling.
Start IndraWorks Operation. Use the menu bar (show it using <Alt> +<M>, if
necessary) click on Tools ▶ Options.... In the dialog shown, open the node
"General" and select "Keyboard". Select under "Categories": "MTX Func‐
tions" and under "Commands" "Calculator". Set the input focus on the field
"Enter new shortcut:" and press the desired shortcut. The "Assign" button ac‐
tivates the shortcut in connection with "OK" and/or "Accept".
