The variable groups are listed in the "Variables" window.
Displaying individual variables
When a program is selected, all variables in the program are automatically
classified according to the variable groups mentioned above and placed in the
respective group.
A click on <+> or the usage of the arrow keys <←>/<→> or the F-key <F8 Expand
substructure/Close substructure>) expands or reduces the list.
If the cursor is on one of the expanded variables, the F-keys <Set break‐
point>, <Quick watch> or <Add to watch> grayed out before, now become
active.
Variables to be watched:
The NC-Analyzer uses the following variables to watch variable values:

Watch: Permanent watching at write operations.
●
Quick Watch: One-time query of the variable value
Quick Watch list:
Quick Watch indicates the current variable value. The display is removed im‐
mediately after continuing or starting a program in the "Quick Watch values"
window, as the value of the variables is only of interest in a certain position
within the program. For this purpose, set a breakpoint at the required position.
Watch list:
This list keeps the values of the variables updated.
Adding variables
The watch list in the "Watch/Quick watch" window consists of selected varia‐
bles.
The variables are displayed in the order in which they were added to the list.
The list can be extended or reduced by adding or removing variables.
The variables to be added to the "Watch/Quick watch" window for watching and
the information filtered out depend on the respective problem in the program.
Arrays can either be completely or partially transferred to the "Watch" window.
Restriction:
A maximum of 40 variables can be taken in the Watch list at the same time. If
you try to add more variables to the list, a warning message appears. Already
existing variables need to be deleted first before new ones can be added.
Deleting variables from the Watch
list
Activate the "Watch/Quick watch" window, highlight the variable to be deleted
and remove it with <F4 Delete watch>.
If all variables in the window are to be deleted, press <F5 Delete all varia‐
bles>.
Editing variable values
Individual variable values or characters of a string can be changed during the
program test.
CPL string constants (such as A$) cannot be changed.
Procedure:

Activate the "Watch values" window or "Quick Watch values" window.
●
Select the variable to be edited.
