Adding a user account to the BlackBerry
Enterprise Server
If you add a user account to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, you are not required to locate the Microsoft Exchange
mailbox for the BlackBerry device that the user account is associated with or the routing group that the BlackBerry
Enterprise Server is located in.

Add a user account
You can add a user account to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, assign a BlackBerry device to a user account and activate
the BlackBerry device. The user account must exist on your organization's messaging server.
Before you begin:
If required, create a group of user accounts so that you can manage user accounts that are similar.
1.
In the BlackBerry Administration Service, on the
BlackBerry solution management
menu, expand
User
.
2.
Click
Create a user
.
3.
Search for a user account.
4.
Select the check box beside the display name for the user account.
5.
Click
Continue
.
6.
If your organization's environment includes multiple BlackBerry Enterprise Server instances, select the BlackBerry
Enterprise Server that you want to add the user account to.
7.
If groups exist in the
Available groups
list, click at least one group that you want to add the user account to.
