Operation
Boom usage
The booms and the tool are in operation, when the mode
switch is selected on the Boom mode (middle).
The booms also work in mode Boom+Tracks (highest), but it
is not possible to control the tool and the auxiliary equipment
and the Hold function does not work. Then, the tracks are
controlled with the rocker switch of the left joystick (see
section ”Driving”).
On the Boom mode, the left joystick (K1) controls the tower
clockwise and counter-clockwise (x direction) and the dipper
boom (7) up and down (y direction).
The rocker switch (K1A and K1B) of the left joystick is used
to control the tool. The function depends on the position of
the Tool selector. There are three positions to choose from: Tool A, Tool B, and Hammer. Tool A and B
options are meant for tools that have two functions and work in a similar way, but use different parameter
values. Thus, different kind of tools can be used with different settings. The Hammer mode is meant for the
hammer and it has only one function (K1B). A minimum and maximum oil flow can be set for the hammer;
the amount can be adjusted between the minimum and maximum with a potentiometer (Aux/Adjust), when
the hammer control is active.
The right joystick (K2) is used to turn the tool (8) down and up (x direction), control the main and the rear
boom (5 and 6) down and up, and the telescope out and in (y direction).
The control of the rear boom can be turned on by pressing the rocker switch of the right joystick upward
(K2A), when the movement starts. The telescope control works when the rocker switch is pressed
downward (K2B).
