Service
Hydraulic system
General
Note! Hydraulic system includes a 150 bar pressure
accumulator. Before starting service operations, release the
pressure from a pressure adjusting screw that is located
below left rear protective cover.
Do not remove a pressurised hydraulic hose. Always
mechanically support the machine parts before unplugging the
cables.
The hydraulic system is very sensitive and even small
impurities in the system may cause serious disturbance and
accidents. Impurities further the wearing and weakening of
parts.
You must ensure that during service operations, that no
impurities are introduced to the system. A broken piston rod
must be replaced immediately since it produces impurities.
The filters must be replaced according to the service plan and you must always use original parts when
servicing to prevent damages.
Prevent the oil from overheating; overheated oil does not lubricate efficiently anymore and oil consumption
increases. Hot oil can also break seals and cause oil leakage.
Air in the system may cause disturbances in the machine’s operation; usually the air exits during oil rotation.
If, however, air gets into the system during work, there is a leakage in the suction pipe and it must be
repaired immediately so the pump does not get damaged.
The pressure control must be kept at the correct level, otherwise the hydraulic system may get damaged.
Never add used hydraulic oil to the machine. Dispose of the old oil appropriately, consider environmental
effects and avoid oil leakages. Handle oil with care, according to instructions.
Preventing failures
• Prevent water from getting into the system.
• Check the oil amount regularly.
• Keep the hydraulic oil clean.
• Change the oil regularly.
• Check that cables and connectors are properly installed and they do not move during usage.
• Check that the hoses and connectors are not damaged.
• Make sure that the cables do not rub against sharp edges.
• If the system makes an unusual noise, stop working.
• Monitor the oil temperature and do not overheat it.
• Use oil that has the correct viscosity.
