Changing the oil filter
Change the oil filter when indicated, at regular intervals or at least twice a year. You should also change it,
when impurities have possibly entered the hydraulic system due to damages or a failure in operation.
Changing:
• Ease the boom by putting it on the ground and turn off the motor.
• Unplug the cable and make sure it is not accidently plugged in.
• Clean the filter holder and the parts around it.
• Depressurize the filter.
• Open the lid of the filter container.
• Lift the filter element with its clamps, out of the housing.
• Remove the filter element from its clamps by opening the bolt with its supporting plates at the bottom.
• Clean the parts and check the condition of the seals. Replace with new ones, if necessary.
• Lubricate the seals and threads.
• Install a new filter element to the clamp with a combination of bolt/supporting plate.
• Put the filter element with clamps attached into its housing.
• Install the lid of the filter container.
• Check the fit.
• Also tighten the filling lid.
• Attach all the other parts, which were removed.
To be noted:
• Hot oil may cause burns. Wait until the oil has cooled down.
• Pay attention to cleanliness and make sure that no dirt gets into the container.
• The filter insert is environmentally hazardous, so dispose of it properly.
