Wear in bearings and shafts
• Measure the bearings, seats and shafts with a micrometer.
• If the diameter of the bearing or seat exceeds the wearing threshold, it must
be replaced.
• If the diameter of the shafts is below the wearing threshold, they must be
replaced.
• For wear in bearings and seats, measure from three different points to find out
how much the part has worn or how oval they are.
• When replacing bearings, the seat must also be replaced.
• Also the wearing of a shaft is measured from three points to determine how
much the shaft has worn.
