Operation
Work lights (Light)
There are two LED work lights on the tower. Both lights are always controlled, when the control system is
operational.
Crawling mode (Slow)
The Crawling mode is a system mode, where the motions are slower than usual.
The mode is activated with the crawling mode (Slow) switch of the remote control, which has two positions
in addition to the middle position (On) on the remote control. One is the lock position (Off) and the other is
the spring return position (Step). When the mode is on, all functions operate at a slower speed. How much
slower the machine functions, depends on how many times the switch has been turned in the Step position.
The crawling mode is activated, when the Slow switch is turned from the down position to the middle
position, and it is deactivated when the switch is turned back to the down position and the joysticks are
centred. The activation and deactivation require that the Hold function is not active.
The amount of speed can be adjusted (the maximum speed can be slowed down) by turning the Slow switch
to the up position for a second time, when crawling has been activated. This can be repeated maximum four
times.
The speed limitation of the crawling mode can be defined separately for the boom and the tracks/outriggers.
Five different levels can be set for both, out of which the speed of each level can be defined separately with
a parameter. The parameter defines by what percentage the restricted maximum control is from the normal
maximum control.
Adjustment and calibration of the control system
The joysticks and the potentiometer can be calibrated, when the remote control is in the calibration mode.
The calibration mode is activated by continuously pressing the acknowledgement button in the remote
control for 10 seconds. The motor must be shut down.
When the calibration mode is active, all the alarm indicator lights on the remote control blink off and on
every 300 ms in green and ”beeps” continuously indicating the calibration mode.
Calibration is accomplished by taking all the movements X, Y, and Z of both joysticks calmly into the
extreme positions. After this, the joysticks must be released (centred). The rocker switches of the joysticks
must also be moved to the extreme positions and centred. The potentiometer must also be moved to
the extreme position and then centred. The calibration is saved and the calibration mode is turned off
by pressing the acknowledgement button briefly, whereupon the signal stops peeping and the lights stop
blinking.
Note! When saving the calibration, the joysticks and the potentiometer must be centred.
Note! Activating the calibration mode resets the previous calibration; therefore calibration must always be
done entirely, before turning off the calibration mode.
