Configuring Media Realm Extensions

The Media Realm Extension table lets you configure up to 5,120 Media Realm Extensions. A Media
Realm Extension is associated with a specific Media Realm and defines a port range and the
number of media sessions for a specific Media- type network interface (configured in the IP
Interfaces table). Therefore, a Media Realm Extension enhances a Media Realm by allowing you to
define different port ranges, media sessions, and network interface than is defined by the
associated Media Realm (i.e., the Media Realm is distributed across multiple interfaces).
