by the current MIDI tempo map (see the section on TEMPO MAPS for
more details).
NOTE 1: It must be said that some of the latter options are for use in very specialised
applications. You will know if they are useful for you. The normal selection made is 24, 25,
29.97 or 30fps. Those working in film or cartoons may like to use other display styles.
SUB-FRAMES
This selects how many sub-frames will be displayed per frame.
Available selections are :
OFF
The sub-frame display is switched off
10th Frames
Normal display with 10 sub-frames per frame
Film Perfs
This counts film perforations at 4 perforations
per frame.
Video Fields
This counts video fields at 2 fields per frame.
LCD CONTRAST
This allows the contrast of the LCD display to be changed for better
visibility by using the DATA +/- keys.
DISPLAY OFFSET
Pressing OFFSET (F6) on the DISPLAY page takes you to the DISPLAY OFFSET page:
When the OFFSET field is OFF, the timecode displays will show either absolute or relative time as
selected. When the OFFSET field is ON, the timecode displays will show be adjusted according to
the offset entered on this page.
FOOTAGE DISPLAY
When footage (Feet/Frames) display styles are selected on the SYSTEM ‘DISPLAY’ page, the
current position is calculated using the MARK time as zero footage. Other timecode offsets are
ignored. This allows a project to be setup with a TIMECODE RCV OFFSET for use when the
project is loaded into a machine chasing LTC as well as a separate and unrelated footage zero.
The MARK time is stored from the STORE LOCATE page.
