11. Variable Rate Application (VRA)
The computer constantly controls the product rate (Seed and/or fertilizer). This rate can be done manually or
automatically.
Every time the fertilizer type or the planting system configuration is modified, the computer
calibration must be configured again. This calibration must be done every time it is necessary in
order to achieve a greater precision when significant changes in the humidity or temperature
occur (these changes produce variations to the weight per unit of fertilizers volume).
11.1. Rate calibration
The computer should be calibrated for each product to be controlled (Linear Fertilizer, Alongside Fertilizer or
Seeds). The computer will display the steps to follow.
The following is an example of the steps to follow for fertilizer L (Linear) calibration:
1. Enter to “Rate Calibration” option in “DISPENSER” menu
(Figure 106
).
MAIN MENU > DISPENSER > RATE CALIBRATION

2. Select the “Calibrate Fertilizer L” option. The screen will display “Fert. L Rate Calibration” to initiate the
calibration process (
Figure 17
).
3. Manually, rotate the command wheel that activates the CVT 1 of product to be configured, in this case
Fertilizer L The computer will count the output rounds of that CVT and will show this value on the screen. After
10 rotations, an alarm will go off indicating that more rotations are not necessary.
MENU > DISPENSER > RATE CALIBRATION > ADJUST FERTILIZER L.

IMPORTANT! To get a correct dispenser's operation, this calibration
has to be done every time the product to be applied is changed.
