6.34 Spray pump (Comet)
NOTICE Do not let the pump run dry for a long time.
NOTICE A leaking diaphragm can irreparably damage the pump. Switch the pump off in
case of the next symptoms and contact your dealer:
•
Oil color change (water or spray liquid in the oil).
•
High oil consumption.
•
Sudden oil level drop.
The life of the diaphragms is determined by the used spray product, the condi-
tion of the suction filter and by the pump speed.
Contact your dealer for the replacement of the diaphragms. Replace the dia-
phragms 1x per year (for example at the end of the season). To replace the
diaphragms, the pump must be removed.
NOTICE
The bolt [3] (M12 x 1.5) must be tight-
ened to a torque of 20 lb-ft
(27 Nm)
. A
higher torque can damage the thread-
ed hole in the aluminum piston.

Check the oil level daily. Change the oil (

148 ) after the first 300 operating
hours and then 1x per year.
Checking the oil level:
1. Switch the pump off.
2. Wait 10 minutes.
3. Check the oil level [1].
4. If necessary: remove the filler cap [2] and
add oil (
