Tell a person to:
•
Look at the gearbox while you slowly drive forward.
•
Give you a sign when the oil plugs are positioned correctly.
Checking the oil level:
1. Drive forward until the oil plugs [1+2] are
positioned at an angle of approximately 15°
(X = approximately 25/32 inch
(20 mm)
).
2. Wait 10 minutes.
3. Remove the oil plug [2].
4. The oil [3] must reach the hole [2].
5. If necessary: add oil (  148 ) through the hole
[1].
6. Place the oil plugs back.
Changing the oil:
You need approximately 0.3 gallon (1.2 liter) oil (  148 ) per gearbox.
1.
Drive forward until the oil plugs [1+2] are
positioned on a vertical line.
2. Remove the oil plugs [1+2] and drain the oil.
3. Drive forward until the holes [1+2] are posi-
tioned at an angle of approximately 15°
(X = approximately 25/32 inch
(20 mm)
).
4. Pour new oil through the hole [1] until it [3]
flows out of the hole [2].
5. Wait 10 minutes.
6. Pour new oil through the hole [1] again until
it flows out of the hole [2].
7. Place the oil plugs back.
