R3765/67G Series Network Analyzer Operation Manual

7.5 Calibration

Note:

A number in an error term indicates a port number.

Ed1 shows the directivity of TEST PORT1, and Et21 shows the transmission tracking
from TEST PORT1 to TEST PORT2.
The 4-port full calibration makes a complete error correction for the 4-port network. As
a result, all errors, which refer to all combinations of two ports, are always corrected for,
even if the error between PORT1 and PORT2 is measured.
A total of 16 S parameters of a 4-port device is obtained using the following 6 paths:
TEST PORT 1 to TEST PORT 2, TEST PORT 1 to TEST PORT 3, TEST PORT 1 to
TEST PORT 4, TEST PORT 2 to TEST PORT 3, TEST PORT 2 to TEST PORT 4, and
TEST PORT 3 to TEST PORT 4.
