19.2.1 Multiple Login
You can use a direct console connection or Telnet to access the command interpreter on the
OMC.

The OMC automatically logs you out of the management interface after five
minutes of inactivity. If this happens to you, simply log back in again.
• By default, the multi-login feature is enabled to allow multiple CLI management sessions.
• Use the
configure user-session
command in the configuration mode to allow
multiple concurrent logins. However, no more than six concurrent login sessions are
allowed. To disable this feature, use the
configure no user-session
command.
19.2.2 The Console Port
Connect to the OMC’s console port using a terminal emulation software configured to the
following settings:
• VT100 terminal emulation
• 115200 bps
• No parity
• 8 data bits
• 1 stop bit
• No flow control
19.2.2.1 Initial Screen
When you turn on your OMC, it performs several internal tests as well as line initialization.
You can view the initialization information using the console port. After the initialization, the
login screen displays (refer to
