Use these commands to create a VLAN profile for the downstream traffic. You can also create
VLAN profile for the upstream traffic, replace
downstream
with
upstream
.
The following shows an example rule on the incoming packets from the OMC to the ONU.
• Create a VLAN profile called
VProfile
.
• Enable the service profile.
• Enable a rule for downstream traffic.
• Set the rule to check packets with a VLAN ID of 14.
• Set the rule action on the matched packets. This rule removes the VLAN tag from the
incoming packets.

= Specifies a VLAN profile.
rule <1-7>
= Specifies a rule to configure.
action <delete|
exchange| none>
= Specify the action to perform on matched packets.
Enter
delete
to insert a VLAN tag to outgoing packets
or delete the VLAN tag from incoming packets.
Enter
exchange
to replace the VID with the one
specified in the VLAN ID field.
Select
none
to forward packets without any changes.
new-vid <1-4094>
= Enter a VLAN ID (from 1 to 4094) of the packet.
For the
exchange
action, this replaces the packet’s
VLAN ID.
priority-src
<original| priority-
profile>
= Enter
original
if you don’t want to change the priority
of the packets.
Enter
priority-profile
to change the packet priority
based on the settings in the priority profile configured for
the ONU. If no priority settings are configured for the
matched packets, the TOS-COS settings in the priority
profile apply.
