19.6 Command Modes
There are three CLI command modes: User, Enable and Configure.
When you first log into the CLI, the initial command mode is User mode. User mode
commands are a subset of Enable mode commands. The User mode command prompt ends
with an angle bracket (>).
To enter Enable (or privileged) mode, type
enable
and enter a password when prompted (the
default is 1234). When you enter the Enable mode, the command prompt changes to the pound
sign (
#
).
To enter the configuration mode, type
configure
or
config
. The Configure mode command
prompt consists of the word “
config
” and the pound sign (
#
). The following table describes
how to access the various sub configuration modes.
<password>
= Specifies the new password (up to 32 alphanumeric
characters) users have to type in to enter Enable and Config
modes.

to create a new

profile and enter sub configuration mode.

To enter the epon-profile mode, enter
epon-profile
followed by a
descriptive name for the profile.
For example, enter
epon-profile Basic
to create a new

profile and enter sub configuration mode.
priority-profile
To enter the priority-profile mode, enter
priority-profile
followed by
a descriptive name for the profile.
For example, enter

profile and enter sub configuration mode.
onu
To enter the onu mode, enter

followed by a descriptive name.
For example, enter

vlan-profile
To enter the vlan-profile mode, enter
vlan-profile
followed by a
descriptive name for the profile.
