Chapter 8 VLAN Profile

OMC-2301 User’s Guide

8.4 Configuring a VLAN Profile

Use the

VLAN Profile

screen to configure VLAN settings to apply to the connected ONU(s)

(in the

ONU Setup

screen). A VLAN profile allows the ONU(s) to perform the following

actions on the incoming packets:

• Replace VID
• Add or remove an outer VLAN tag
• Set priority

No action is done on the OLT which forwards the packets to the destination through the uplink
Gigabit Ethernet ports.
