Explanation

Firmware Updates

This instrument may require firmware version updates to support new modules and new
or modified features.

How to Obtain the Firmware

If you do not always use the most recent version of the firmware when you update
the instrument, it may not function properly. When you update the module firmware or
purchase a newly released module, be sure to also update the frame controller firmware.

You can download the latest firmware from the YOKOGAWA website if you register as a
user.
You can register as a user from the following website.

http://www.yokogawa.com/tm/

Note

• You cannot use the frame controller’s Ethernet port to connect to the Internet and directly

download or update the firmware.

• You cannot update the firmware through a PC.

Things to Prepare before Updating the Firmware

•  The frame controller
•  The modules that you want to update
•  A USB memory device (containing the most recent firmware)
  Be sure to save the most recent firmware program files to the root folder of the USB

memory device. (Save the module program files to the Module folder.)

The firmware will be updated properly even if unrelated files or folders are on the USB

memory device.
