Product description:
Adjustable attenuation earmu
ff
s with audio input from the electrical input, with electronic sound devices are
protective earmu
ff
s that enable wired or wireless connection of the audio signal source. The earmu
ff
s are equipped with a spring
placed on the top of the head. The spring is made of plastic. The cups are made of ABS plastic and provided with
fl
exible PU foam
cushions. The spring has an adjustable length to suit the size of the head. The earmu
ff
s have a built-in battery and a switch that is
also a sensitivity/volume control. One of the cups is equipped with a round socket for connecting an external sound source, and the
other one with a longitudinal socket for charging the built-in battery.
Adjustment method:
Adjust the length of the spring so that the earmu
ff
s rest on the headband when worn on the head. Both earmu
ff
s
should completely cover the auricles. Make sure that there are no other objects, clothing or hair between the elastic cushions and the
scalp. Otherwise, the noise attenuation capacity of the earmu
ff
s will be reduced. The earmu
ff
s should be applied to the head so that
the microphones in each cup face the front of the head. The microphones should not be obscured. The sponge in the openings of the
monitors should be kept clean. The earmu
ff
s meet the requirements of all three sizes (small, medium and large) according to EN 352.
Using the earmu
ff
s
After adjusting and putting the earmu
ff
s on the head, they act as normal earmu
ff
s, suppressing the noise in
accordance with the values given in the table below. In order to activate the function of a wireless connection to another device, e.g.
to a mobile phone the earmu
ff
s have to be activated. Press and hold the button for approx. 3 seconds. The earmu
ff
s will activate
by staring the Bluetooth® function which will be indicated by the Bluetooth® indicator light turning blue for approx. 1 second. The
wireless communication function is deactivated by pressing and holding the button for approx. 3 seconds. The Bluetooth® indicator
will turn red for about one second. Before wirelessly connecting to an external device Bluetooth® mode has to be active in it. Then,
with the wireless mode o
ff
, press and hold the button for about 6 seconds. The earmu
ff
s will enter the pairing mode which is indicated
by the Bluetooth® indicator
fl
ashing alternately red and blue. On the external device, start the pairing device search. The earmu
ff
s can
be found as a device called “J&Y01”. Once you have found the earmu
ff
s, follow the instructions on the screen. The paired device will
be stored in the earmu
ff
s memory. To erase the memory of paired devices, simultaneously press and hold the volume control buttons
for approx. 5 seconds. The Bluetooth® indicator turns red for approx. 2 seconds to con
fi
rm clearing the memory. The device paired
with the earmu
ff
s will be connected automatically when the wireless mode of the earmu
ff
s is switched on, as long as the device is in
Bluetooth® mode. When connected to the device, the Bluetooth® indicator of the earmu
ff
s turns blue once every 10 seconds. The
maximum range of the wireless connection is 10 m.
If the earmu
ff
s are connected to a mobile phone, they can be used as a headset and used for making calls. If you hear a ring tone,
press the play button to answer the incoming call. Press and hold the play button to reject the call. During the call, double pressing the
play button switches the call between the earmu
ff
s and the phone. By rotating the volume control knob you can adjust the volume of
the call. Pressing the play button after the end of the call will redial the phone number of the last call. For another call no. 2 incoming
during the call no. 1, press the play button to suspend the call no. 1 and answer the call no. 2. Press and hold the play button to
reject the incoming call no. 2. During calls to two callers, press and hold the play button to switch between the callers. Pressing the
play button cancels the current call.
Earmu
ff
s can also be used to play music from a wirelessly connected device. Pressing the play button will start or pause the music.
Pressing the volume buttons allows you to adjust the volume of the music you are playing. Press and hold the volume up button to
play the next track from the list. Press and hold the volume down button to play the previous track from the list.
The earmu
ff
s can also be wired to an audio device. In this mode, you can only listen to music, making phone calls is not possible.
In case of a wired connection, all wireless functions are disabled. When an external sound source is connected, the earmu
ff
s
automatically detect the plug connected to the socket in one of the cups and transmit the sound from the external source. The
earmu
ff
s do not have the ability to adjust the sound volume from an external source. The volume must be adjusted at the sound
source. After disconnecting the sound source, you should also disconnect the cable from the earmu
ff
s to prevent the battery from
running out faster.
If the earmu
ff
s do not activate after turning the knob the battery might be exhausted. If the Bluetooth® indicator light turns red every
10 seconds and a beep is heard every 2 minutes, it means that the battery will soon discharge and need be charged to continue
using the device. Connect one of the cable plugs to the charging socket, and the other plug to the charger with a USB port, or to the
USB port of the computer. The charging port should have a current output of at least 1 A. The indicator located near the port is red
during charging and turns green when the charging is completed. After charging, immediately disconnect the cable from the charger
and then from the earmu
ff
s. Leaving the earmu
ff
s with a charged battery connected to the charger will shorten the life of the battery.
Charging the battery takes about 3.5 hours. Caution! The system performance may deteriorate as the battery discharges. The typical
uninterrupted operating time, depending on the battery capacity of the earmu
ff
s, is up to 30 hours. The earmu
ff
s are equipped with
a lithium-polymer (Li-Po) battery with a capacity of 750 mAh and a voltage of 3.7 V DC. Batteries of this type have a small memory
e
ff
ect and can be recharged at any time, however, it is recommended to discharge the battery at least once every 10 charging cycles
during normal operation and then fully charge it. The earmu
ff
s must be fully charged before use. Also, fully charge the earmu
ff
s before
storing. If the earmu
ff
s are to be stored for a longer period of time, e.g. several months or longer, the battery should be fully charged
every 3 months. The battery cannot be replaced. Further information may be obtained from the importer.
