Paper Handling

Exception Conditions

Table 2.3 describes the paper selection process based on fully 
defined or partially defined paper selection parameters. A paper 
request may include one or more of the following parameters: paper 
tray, paper size, paper type (e.g., plain, letterhead, etc.).

Specifying a paper source (a specific tray) does not guarantee that 

paper will be fed from that tray if the type and size can be satisfied from 

another source. The exception to this is a manual feed request, which 

always from the 50 Sheet Bypass Feeder unless overridden by the 

printer operator.
