Burner Components - CG152TF/S
Burner Cap
- The decorative top for burner with a black porcelain coating.
Burner Assembly -
Contains burner ports where gas/air mixture ignites. The burner ports are distributed in a use-
ful pattern to optimize heat transfer. Flames should be spread so they can be easily reached by secondary air and
provide a stable blue flame. The burner assembly has two levels ports. The top level of ports provide the flame for
the high side of the burner, and the lower ports provide the flame for the simmer side of the burner assembly.
Venturi
- Helps maintain proper and constant primary air injection.
Electrode -
The Electrode supplies the spark to ignite the burner. The Electrode senses flame once the burner is
ignited and will stop sparking. If no flame is sensed or is of poor quality, and the valve switch is depressed, the elec-
trode will start sparking to re-ignite the flame. This is a Safety feature and part of the auto-reignition system.
Orifice Holder
- This component is mounted to burner mounting bracket, which in turn is mounted to the burner box.
The Simmer and Main orifice is threaded into Orifice Holder and routes the gas to the appropriate section of the
burner assembly. It is the main support for the burner components.
Simmer Orifice and Main Orifice
- An opening or hole which regulates or limits the amount of gas flowing to a
burner. Gas flow rate (volume) depends on the size of the orifice and the gas pressure at the inlet of the orifice.
Burner Components - MM15TF/S
Burner Head -
The component containing the burner ports where the gas/air mixture ignites. The burner ports are
distributed in a useful pattern to optimize heat transfer.
Nuts -
Keep the burner base secure to the top pan and the elbow.
Burner Base -
Routes gas to the correct area of the burner head and supports the venturi and jet holder.
Elbow -
Routes the gas/air mixture from the jet holder and venturi to the burner base.
Venturi -
A section of pipe at the inlet of the elbow assembly that narrows and then flares out again. The venturi
allows for further mixing of the gas and air and maintains a proper, constant injection of primary air.
Jet Holder -
Holds the orifice and mixes the gas provided by the flex gas tube with air drawn in from the burner box.
Orifice -
A brass fitting with a drilled hole through it that regulates the amount of gas being mixed with air. Gas flow
rate, or volume depends on the size of the hole in the orifice and the gas pressure at the inlet of the orifice.
