Fault tracing

FMI 3 Abnormally high voltage or short
circuit to higher voltage

Conditions for fault code:

The voltage exceeds the normal value or is short cir-
cuited to higher voltage.

Possible reason:

•

Short circuit between 5V supply voltage and bat-
tery voltage in EMS 2 connector A.

Suitable action:

Check all 5V supply cables distributed by EMS 2
connector A. (see EMS 2 wiring diagram)

FMI 4 Abnormally low voltage or short
circuit to lower voltage

Possible reason:

•

Short circuit between the supply cables to the
boost pressure sensor.

•

Short circuit between the supply cables to the rail
pressure sensor.

Suitable action:

Check the sensor supply cables to boost pressure
sensor.
