Wipe out the fuel residues be-
fore starting the engine.

Start the engine and run it at minimum
speed for a few minutes.
Important
In case the engine does not start, repeat
the described procedure and, if neces-
sary, contact an Assistance Centre au-
thorised by the manufacturer.

Stop the motor when you finish this op-
eration.
Engines equipped with rotating injection
pump
The operation must be carried out only by
means of the battery-operated starter mo-
tor.
Important
To avoid problems, before carrying out
the operation, make sure that the batter-
ies have a suitable state of charge.
1-
Turn off the engine and remove the igni-
tion key.
2-
Let the engine cool down adequately to
avoid being burnt.
3-
Prepare a container of appropriate ca-
pacity.
4-
Completely fill new filter with fuel (with a
container).
Important
Use clean and impurity-free fuel.
5-
Install fuel filter in the special seat (See
"Fuel filter replacement.").
