5-10
Sequence Step
Purpose
43. Helium -> waste
Helium is again flushed through the sample path to the
waste bottle.
44. End liquid sample
This completes the water sample process sequence.
5.6.2 Soil Sample Sequence
Sequence Step
Purpose
1. Getting Vial
The Robotic Arm picks up the sample vial.
2. Check Vial Type
The vial is placed in the ID cup to identify its type.
3. Going to soil probe
The vial is transported to the soil sampling station.
4. Parking
The Robotic Arm goes to rear park.
5. Water-> Lines
Water flushes internal standard path to the waste
bottle.
6. Elevator up
The sample vial is now raised up onto the soil
probe.
7. Syringe fills
Syringe fills with programmed amount of water.
8. Adding standard 1 (and or 2)
Standard 1 and or 2 is added to the sample.
9. Water -> soil vial
Water is transformed to the soil vial.
10. Helium ->waste
Helium flushes sample path to the waste bottle.
11. Pre-heat Soil Sample
Sample vial is heated.
12. Pre-heat Time
Length of time of heating.
13. Purge
Sample is purged.
14. Elevator down
The vial is lowered from the soil probe.
15. Return vial
The Robotic Arm verifies vial position is empty, then
picks up the vial and returns it to the sample tray.
16. Parking
The Robotic Arm goes to the Rear Park
17. Autodrain
The Archon waste valve opens and helium
pressure from the purge and trap will drain the
sparge tube.
