6. Inspect the new lamp for signs of fingerprints and dust. If necessary,
clean the lamp with isopropanol and a lint-free tissue before you
install it.
7. Align the new lamp with the locating pin. When the lamp is in
correct position, push the lamp gently into the lamp house. The
lamp socket must be flush with the lamp house.

8. Attach and tighten the 2 screws in the lamp socket.
9. Connect the lamp connector.
10. Install the lamp house cover. Route the wires of the lamp through
the guides on the inside of the cover to prevent them from being
pinched under the lamp cover.
11. Turn on the detector with its main power switch.
12. Turn on the lamp. See section 6.5.2 Turning On the Lamp, page 93 .
13. Perform a wavelength validation. See section 7.5, page 121 .
