Lamp
The light source is a xenon flash lamp.

The lamp is turned on when data acquisition starts, and
automatically turned off after data acquisition was stopped to
extend its lifetime.
•
The flash frequency of the lamp varies, depending on the selected
lamp mode. Selecting a different lamp mode during phases when no
peaks of interest elute can extend the lamp lifetime.
•
You can monitor the lamp age. This function can help to decide
when a lamp is due to be replaced.
•
The lamp must be replaced by a Thermo Fisher Scientific service
engineer.
