6.1.9 Chip doser
Adjustments
Before starting production, check that the hopper
and dosing channels are completely dry.
It is sufficient to adjust the angle of operation of
the vibrator, loosen the screws of the rod that
supports the vibrator (Pos.3, Fig. B.11) to
optimize the flow of the product that has to be
dosed.
To increase or reduce the dosing volume, it is
necessary to adjust the pressure regulator (Pos.4,
Fig. B.11): clockwise to increase the intensity of
vibration and counterclockwise to reduce it.
This operation can be performed by means of the
cam on the operator’s panel.

This device, fitted on the frame, is used to
distribute chips of nuts, chocolate or of other
ingredients on the product. The doser comprises
a hopper (Pos.1, Fig. B11) connected to
distribution channels (Pos.2, Fig. B.11) where
the product flows due to the thrust of vibrations
applied by the vibrator to the channels (Pos.3,
Fig. B.11) .
The quantity of dosed product can be set by
appropriately adjusting the start and duration of
the dosing with a programmer, as described in
Chapter 5.
