DTC P0230 FUEL PUMP SUPPLY CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION
WIRING DIAGRAM
DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1) Connect scan tool to DLC with ignition switch OFF.
2) Turn ON ignition switch and clear DTC, pending DTC and freeze frame data by using scan tool and run engine
at idle speed for 10 sec. or more.
3) Turn ON ignition switch after OFF for 5 sec.
4) Check DTC and pending DTC by using scan tool.

Is operating sound heard from fuel pump?
Substitute a known-
good ECM and
recheck.
Go to Step 3.

Check Double Relay
1) Check double relay referring to Section 6E3.
Is it in good condition?
Go to Step 4.
Faulty double relay.
4
Check Fuel Pump Output Circuit
1) Remove ECM cover referring to “Voltage Check”
in this section.
2) Check voltage between E228-48 and ground.

Within 5 sec. after ignition switch ON: about 0 V

Over 5 sec. after Ignition switch OFF: 10 – 14 V
Is check result as specified?

Poor E228-48
