ENGINE

Remove sump filter.

Remove crankcase securing bolts.

CAUTION:
T h e c r a n k s h a f t a n d t r a n s m i s s i o n
components must remain in the left
crankcase half. This is necessary because
the gear shifting cam stopper is mounted on
the left crankcase half and will be damaged if
the transmission components remain in the
right half.

Crankcase
separating tool

Separate the crankcase into 2 parts, right and

left with crankcase separating tool.

Fit the crankcase separating tool, so that the

tool plate is parallel with the end face of the

crankcase.
