Available Files
Firmware
Firmware files have the extension “.bec”. If a file is found, the unit will validate the file before
uploading it. If a firmware file is uploaded, the unit will reprogram itself with the new firmware
and reboot.
Configuration
Configuration files have the extension “.g4m”. If a file is found, the unit must validate the file
before uploading it. These files can be created by downloading from a Global 400mp or by
saving a configuration file from the PC application. This file contains all the configuration
settings for the unit, including tools, parameters, jobs, and Global 400mp and network settings.
When uploading the configuration, all existing settings will be overwritten with the new values.
New tools referenced in the configuration file will need to be associated with the Global 400mp,
as if learning them to the unit.
