Arc. 66-VII
2) disconnect the electrical wires from the terminal block of the motor;
3) rotate the handwheel (
ref. 5
Fig. 4
on page 23) until the threaded rod is fully
extracted (
ref. 10
Fig. 14
on page 55), having first removed the retainer screw at
the end of the rod, from the pivot;
4) refit the pivot;
5) free the rotation pin (
ref. 11
Fig. 14
) from the motor base by removing the
Seeger ring located on the shoulder shim;
6) slacken the screws locking the two spacers onto the pin, which are located inside
the slots of the motor base;
7) rest the motor on the floor;
8) remove the pin and refit the spacers;
9) extract the motor along with its base and pulley;
10) separate the base and pulley from the motor and fit them onto the new motor;
11) refit the new motor assembly into the machine by inserting the pin (
ref. 11
Fig. 14
) into the relative holes of the shoulders, into the motor base slots and into
the spacers inside the slots;
12) secure the pin to the shoulder using the fixing screw;
13) align the pulleys (
ref. 7
and
4
Fig. 14
);
14) secure the spacers inside the slots of the motor base using the fixing screws;
15) reposition the pivot and pass the threaded rod through it (
ref. 10
Fig. 14
);
16) refit the retainer bushing onto the end of the threaded rod;
17) refit the belt (
ref. 2
Fig. 14
);
18) connect the electrical wires to the terminal block;
19) check that the pulley (
ref. 4
Fig. 14
) runs in an anticlockwise direction,
otherwise stop the machine immediately by pressing the push-button (
ref. 4
Fig. 11
on page 40);
20) set the master power switch
(ref. 1 Fig. 10
on page 39
)
to position 0;
21) disconnect the plug from the mains socket;
22) swap two phases in the motor terminal block as explained in para.
“5.6 First
start-up” on page 34
;
23) check that the pulley (
ref. 4
Fig. 14
) runs in the correct direction;
24) check that the machine does not exceed a maximum speed of 27
beats/minutes, otherwise find the exact position of this speed and bring the
retainer bushing close to the motor base;
25) close the guards and secure them using the relative screws.
Warning!
Note the exact order of the electrical connections.
Warning!
Make sure to observe the same order as that used for the old motor. In case
of doubt, the electrical documentation attached to this Manual clearly
shows the connections.
