5.4.2
Connection to the mains power supply
If the machine will work alone, please see the following instructions.
The machine must be connected to the mains power supply in compliance with
established regulations, and with reference to the data given in this Manual.
For the connection, the machine is provided with a CEI 20-22 cable and EEC plug
with the number of poles indicated on the nameplate.
Connect the machine to the ground system and not to the gas or water pipes or
any other non-specific metal structures.
The power supply cable must be kept away from hot and moving parts. It must not
be an obstacle to the free movement of persons or materials in the working area.

Not applicable to the machine.

Consumables
The dividing area of the machine must be kept lubricated and for this purpose it is
equipped with an oil pump (
ref. 1

on page 33) and reservoir (

).
If the reservoir oil level is low, the red alarm lamp (
ref. 3
Fig. 11
on page 40) will
illuminate; if this occurs, immediately top up using
WESTFALIA ST 35
oil or
equivalent (see
table 3
).
Some of the oil used is recovered and channelled to the collection tank (
ref. 3
Fig. 8
), and can be reused provided that it is thoroughly filtered of all impurities.
Qualified
Technician
The operations described below must only be carried out by a qualified
technician.
Warning!
Make sure that the mains voltage is as required for the machine and clearly
indicated on the machine’s nameplate.

If the machine will be included as component of a line, please see the man-
ual of said line and follow the instructions you find.
